Studio Policies & Guidelines

Do you teach private or group lessons?

We teach both private and group music lessons! We offer private lessons for piano, guitar, voice, drums and all other instruments. We also have group Show Choir, Rockband or call the studio for other offerings.

What do you charge for lessons?

Monthly tuition for lessons: $100-1$30 for half-hour lesson weekly, $150-$190 for 45 minutes weekly and $200-$250 for an hour weekly. Depending on location, please call for rates.

How long are the lessons?

Many younger students will start with a half-hour lesson weekly. However, most students will take at least a 45-minute lesson weekly once they have developed some proficiency with their instrument.

Can we do more than one lesson at a time?

Absolutely! For example, one student could do a guitar lesson while the other takes voice or piano or flute!

How often are the lessons?

Most students have lessons once a week. We also have students who do several lessons each week.

How old do you have to be to take lessons?

We have students as young as four who have started on piano and even guitar and violin.

How young do you have to be to take lessons?

You don’t have to be four years old to experience the joy of piano lessons, guitar lessons or voice lessons. We have many adult students who are complete beginners. Always wanted to learn to play the piano? Now you can.

What do you do in the summer?

We are a year-round studio. In addition to regular lessons, all students take a one-week intensive called Summer Immersion. It’s like your own mini-music camp with one-on-one time with the instructor.

How does bring a friend week work?

Simply invite a friend who is not a current student at Kirk’s and we’ll treat both you and your friend to Organ Stop Pizza. If your friend signs up for lessons, you’ll receive a $15 gift card!
